Freshfields Art Programme: Annual Exhibition 2022

A pivotal component of Freshfields’ art programme is their meticulously curated annual exhibition, showcasing  over ninety works on paper across their eleven working floors.

Art Acumen worked closely with Freshfields’ art committee and BAN network group to curate a diverse collection of art  exploring issues that concern us all – ethics of AI, modern culture, climate change, the value of connection, mental health and more – which  serve as catalysts for dialogue, personal reflection, and growth

Art requires an emotive interaction from the viewer, meaning that engagement happens at a deeper level. We firmly believe that a stimulating, diverse, and inclusive working environment is crucial for fostering discussions, promoting critical thinking, and nurturing creativity. Art thus can act as a vehicle to evoke empathy, opening oneself up to new perspectives through the narratives within artworks, to carve out a greater understanding of ourselves, others, and the bigger picture.

To maximise opportunities for individuals to explore and connect with the artwork, we have created an engagement programme that includes interviews, short films, artists’ talks, creative workshops, and virtual tours. These initiatives provide a range of avenues through which people can delve into the artistic expressions, further enriching their experiences and connections.
