Corporate Exhibition Programmes

A well considered and varied art programme will engage, include and challenge, it will galvanise a feeling of belonging as well as encourage individuality and creativity. Temporary exhibitions, artists talks, workshops, running an art prize or bursary can all be managed on modest budgets on a year by year basis, with far reaching effects.

Art Acumen created an exhibition and artists talks programme for CMS law, to amplify their Diversity & Inclusion events and encourage engagement and conversation. We kicked off the exhibition programme on World Mental Health Day where CMS launched “This is Me: the importance of expression to mental health”,  a film featuring 11 CMS staff sharing their own experiences of mental health and illness. We supported this event with a conceptual photography exhibition ‘In the Mind’s Eye’ by artist, Suzie Larke and a panel discussion to explore how the creative process helped to externalise feelings when sometimes conversation had been difficult. The overwhelming message that prevailed was that creativity – being able to express yourself as an individual – is key to wellbeing.

Suzie’s art is inspired by her own experience of mental health and the response to this exhibition has been incredible! It has been a catalyst for awareness, discussion and debate and a mechanism for greater understanding.

Suzie’s exhibition In the Mind’s Eye will be on display for three months at CMS’s London headquarters, after which we will arrange for the art exhibition to be displayed at their other UK offices over the following 18 months.
